The City of
Arnold is located on the historic Allegheny
River in the northwest corner of
Westmoreland County. It is a community with
a diverse and interesting history that grew
up, so to speak, during the heyday of the
steel industry that surrounded the
Pittsburgh area. As with most communities
along the Allegheny River, it suffered from
a loss of industry during the 1970's and
1980's when steel mills started closing down
in this area of Pennsylvania. Since then,
the city has been undergoing a rebirth of
sorts, bringing in new industry, new
community projects, and new people who call
Arnold their home. This was made possible by
the strong family values and incredible
sense of community pride that our residents
have. Come find out why the City of Arnold
is a "Proud City of Proud People". |
